My brain just switched on and came to the realization of just how much work we have to finish by the end of the week. Its enough to make your skin crawl. I sat at my desk trying to fix the Michael Whittle website and my hands were totally shaking. Are we all going to pass? Sure hope so, don't particularly fancy staying in this shithole Insearch another semester then waiting for UTS intakes next march. The only real motivation offered here is the teachers which are all great, but the institution itself should be burned to ashes (think I covered my ass on that one). Hope I don't get expelled for writing this in the last week. The irony... Anyone feel the same way I do? I am sure some of you do and hope that you will put your opinion in the little comments box for this post.
I could rant here all day but that would not be a wise use of what precious little time we have.
Bottom line: I am terrified of not passing and right now it feels like that may happen. Paranoia? hope so.
good luck with your work if you are reading this and if you have some extra luck to spare, pass it this way...

d

Happy Holidays

Just wishing everyone happy holidays.
Hope to see you all in class so don't get carried away!
:-)

d

Cronulla Beach

This is pretty f*cked... Not much you can do when your budget is strictly limited and you wasted the majority of your monthly pay for bills.
So I have had to turn to do the unthinkable *gasp* find a job. I freely admit that I am pretty spoiled when it comes to money and have had one job in my life which lasted about a week. Didn't work out; got fired, I still don't know why.
Now, left with no choice, I will have to work. The evening started off with a long train ride through stations with funny names which I have never heard of... Even then, the sky looked ominous and my prediction was that there was going to be a thunderstorm. God I hoped it was an indoor venue. It was in fact, which was good, but none the less we had to run a good ten minutes from the train station to the venue in the pouring rain, getting there completely soaked. Oh well, my concert experiences have taught me that you can drench your clothes in sweat within half an hour if they were completely dry to begin with so I thought I would dry up pretty quickly. But first things first, we needed to get loaded with alcohol! The line for booze was about 50 people long and and lasted the whole opening act which was about 45 min. When we finally got to the end, the only beer they had was VB (5 bucks!). God, I hate that crap. How can Australian men seriously keep a straight face and call that donkey urine good beer? Two drinks per person, given the situation of us being late, We skulled our drinks really quickly as a result, going into the spectacle good and drunk. The venue was HUGE! and by HUGE I mean to accommodate 20,000 people. I must say, I am a difficult person to impress and I was blown away. We were on the ground floor, somewhere in the middle and standing shoulder to shoulder with people all shapes and sizes. I say shapes and sizes because, being a fan of heavy music, and an attendee of heavy metal concerts, I was used to a predominantly male population, most of which are giants with tattoos and chains (and little ol' me in the middle). There were actually lots of chicks here... OH MY GOD!
The concert was great, I won't go into the setlists or the details but the sound system was good and clear, sometimes hard to see the band with the thousand people in front of you jumping like rabbits on acid, but all in all a rockin' good old time. The band kind of lost me by the end being that I wasn't a fan and didn't know many of the songs, but the ones I did, I put my heart into making the people next to me go to hell with broken toes. \m/ 7/10 \m/

Saturday:
The whole of Saturday was a failed attempt at doing some school work being my mind was elsewhere. Teachers are at my neck for assignments, chewing my eyes out for homework, and kicking my bum for attendance. But not even that was a good enough motivation.
The good stuff...
DJ Sasha was on at Home (The best club in Sydney in my opinion!) and I went there with that same lady friend and Misha (the bear). We got there at about 11ish and it was still empty. So we hung out and waited... waited... waited. After a while, we decided to pop and go dance. We were on the little platform at the east end of the club when a piece of metal fell from the roof and hit LF in the head! She seemed ok until the waterfall of blood came pouring down her face! We all panicked and ran to get some help... Why her? WHY ME?!?! The first aid people were very nice, took good care of her and the owner even came to help. His contribution was 50 bucks for a cab so we could get her cleaned up and come back. The cab ride was like chewing a pine cone since we were on the same street as the club in a jam for about 20 min. UNF*CKINGBELIEVABLE! Finally we got to her place, and starting going off. She got cleaned up, we ran out, jumped in the cab and headed straight back to the party... It was all good for an hour or so, Sasha wasn't on until 3 and it was only 1:30 when so we started coming down before it even started. The rest of the night was a long fade out... Things got slower and more boring until we had to give up and go home. Stayed up until 6 chatting and finally conked out.
Not a bad night because the worst night with your best friends is better than the best night with your worst enemies. I was hoping for more (or less considering the piece of metal!) but I can't complain. Life is a party (I have said that before haven't I?) so enjoy it and stop asking so many damn questions! :-)
Cheers.

Weekend

Nothing interesting to say guys, sorry! :-)
I will have a lot of stories to tell after next weekend though... All the ingredients for this meal can be found at coles collectively for under 30 dollars and will last you about 3 days (3 meals per day).

You need:
A carton of eggs
Butter
Heinz Beans in tomato
Large Kelbasa
Onions (any other fryable veggies you like)

To cook:

eggs (2 or 3)
butter
baked beans in tomato (1 can)
kelbasa sausage (not too little, not too much)
onion (half if you like it a lot, less if not)

What you need to do:
Cut some kelbasa into small cubes and dice some onion. Heat the pan with some butter and chuck it all in to cook till it turns gold. At this point, I season it with whatever is available at home; salt, pepper, herbs, spices... anything in the kitchen as long as it didn't come from underneath the sink. Next throw the eggs into the mix, stir and scrape it off the bottom of the pan as it cooks. Basically you are kind of making scrambled eggs. Keep this up until the egg has completely solidified, should not take more than 2 minutes. finally, drop the whole can of beans into the pan and let it heat up and simmer for a few minutes.

What you are left with a delicious stew which will fill you up and make you rub your tummy in satisfaction. In addition, if you are living with someone, then you can kiss them goodbye because you're going to be farting like a trooper.

Enjoy but dont abuse... this is a potentially dangerous recipe.

2 Days

Being a fan of the arts, music in particular, I stumbled onto a site (www.guitarwar.com) which houses many aspiring amatuer musicians.
I must join it!!!
So I have been working on my first recording for submission for the last two days almost non stop. Its not even finished or near being finished but its as close to perfection as I could make it. So far I am very proud of it considering my hand has not even healed yet and bleeds every so often from stretching. I think I will go eat now, it's been almost 24 hours since my last meal... Time flies when you are having fun. ;-)

Blokes Night

Monday the 14th of November...

Class was cancelled and I couldn't be happier. I still had massive amounts of work to do but that didn't matter much because it was a beautiful day, and I did not have any immediate obligations. First thing I did was called John. John had just gotten out of an exam after a long night of cramming and his brain was water (or something of the same viscosity). None the less, he accepted my invitation to play some guitar; a common hobby we shared, and we made our way to my place at the end of Glebe.
At my place we spent a good 5 hours playing away at out guitars when two more of my comrades suggested we have a few drinks at my place. When they came we had a couple of casques of wine, about two liters per person. After that it was quite blurry...
I woke up to find a deep gash in my hand which I had trouble accounting for. Later it became apparent that I punched through a window in the stairway of my complex. I could not believe it being the pacifict that I thought I was. Further investigation showed that just too many crazy things happened that night (a walk down the street in the nude). I still can't believe it. All in all it was good fun. I just finished writing a letter of apology to the Medium Density Management for the apartment telling them that it won't happen again. (Just between you and me & the rest of the world) FAT CHANCE!!!
Life is a party, enjoy every minute before the bouncer named time takes it all away...

Headache

Not much interesting to say... Needless to say, the man was intrigued and inquired at the bar as to the tasks. The bar man told him that

1st) He would have to drink a full bottle of tequila non stop, bottom up.
2nd) He would have to run up to the second floor and deflower a beautiful (and fast running) virgin.
3rd) He would have to go into the basement and take out the bar's pet alligator's bad tooth.

The man thought to himself... "The first two aren't too bad but the third is too insane." So he decides to drink on his own tab...
Many drinks later, the man reaches into his pocket for money to pay for his drink only to find he is completely broke! Being as rowdy as he was, he shouted to the barman "bring me that bottle of tequila!" The barman instantly produced a bottle of tequila and put it in front of him. The man greedily quaffed down the entire bottle in less than a minute and stumbled on his way to the second task.
Out of one of the back rooms came screams, crashing noises, and then silence...
The man stumbled into the bar again covered with blood, his clothes tattered and torn and proclaimed "Now where is the girl with the bad tooth!?"

:-)

weekends

It's Monday morning and the begining of a new week. I am so not looking forward to this... By proper standards, the weekend is meant to be a time to rest from a hard week's work, so you could come back Monday morning rejuvinated and ready to face whatever comes your way. My weekends never end up being restful and I never come back to school rejuvinated or ready to deal with anything. The constant abuse that my body endures on the weekends leaves me spent and tired at the begining of the working week. Being sick does not make matters any better... I hate it.

Anyone reading my blogs regularly should get used to gargantuan amounts of whinning and bitching because thats what I do best. :-)

Clyps

I just made my first blog for a class and I had to verify that I wasn't a machine by typing "clyps" into a little box...
What the hell is clyps, and why is that my insignia of being human?! Why are species still being oppressed in the cybernetic world despite the fact that it was meant to be the final frontier of democracy? I say DOWN WITH THE INTERNET! Burn every monitor, mouse, and keyboard indiscriminantly to limit any further segregation between humans and machines... "I have a dream..." can't we learn from our mistakes?!
